Question:
You have said that no one can truly understand the meaning of life from our minuscule vantage point. That all we can strive to achieve is clarity. How does one attain the necessary mastery to have clarity?
The Seer:
Clarity of the mind is a rudimentary quality of mastery; to have the wise discernment to gauge the essence and value of every situation. It is in entering into the timeless moment that all stands revealed. Let's map out how to achieve this:
Although the master experiences intense love and compassion for all creatures – the result of the heart opening when the mind is stilled – he or she can only assess clearly when all emotion is stilled. There is a ruthlessly clear part of the psyche the master enters to be devoid of emotion, in order to dispassionately see the core issues of a situation. The churning of emotions muddies the waters and obscures perception. This place of silent observation is called by Toltec mystics, 'The Seat of Sobriety'.
Access to this sort of clarity and emotionless discernment becomes available to the master after mastering the art of recapitulation – the technique described in Journey to the Heart of God. The more we take time for deep meaningful living and gain the insights from experience, the more the sobriety of a master becomes ours.

Nice explanation. 😊

Its interesting because I feel like the more time I take for deep meaningful living and the more insights I gain, the more emotion I feel… which would just continue to mess with my clarity it would seem. Ive yet to figure out how to not feel such depth of emotion, the more I see, the more I feel, Im assuming Ill figure it out eventually.

Well, yes. That helps me see a bit more soberly. Now I'm just terrified and their are tones of grief to see my next step so clearly. If I have tones of grief looming over the clarity of my next step does that mean I haven't fully recapitulated the past?
