If The Infinite is the Source of everything, is The Infinite also The Source of black magic? If creation is a source of self-examination for The Infinite, what can be learnt from black magic?
The Seer:
Let us make sure we all understand what we mean by the term "black magic":
It is in the broadest sense, 'the articulated desire to control outcome'. Which means it seeks power over the way life unfolds. In this broad term, even the most well-intended desire for "good" outcome, is a form of black magic practiced daily by light seekers as well as the unenlightened.
Black magic is the opposite of surrendered trust and is rooted in fear and uncertainty. It is the result of failing to see that even the deepest despair is but a veil obscuring the poetry and beauty of life, and that in life's transience hides the indestructible permanence of irrepressible eternal life guided by the endless knowing of our being.
The Infinite as The Source of all things, studies itself in iIs creation. Any answer given about The Infinite and Its purposes, evolves as our understanding does. But from today's understanding, The Infinite's desire to control stems from a fear of losing Its creation and, as the only One Indivisible Being (expressing as the many) in existence, finding Itself yet again in eternal solitude — but an even deeper aloneness than before, having learnt the meaning of "alone" versus having family.
The solution that eliminates the power of black magic and the fear that spawns it, is to achieve that which is more valuable than control or power: contentment. It is that which must be studied.
Contentment is a quality of the spirit and is derived from the practice of 'wholesomeness'. It is the restoration of wholesomeness that supports the deep understanding that 'our being is our sustenance' and therefore all is well; there is nothing to control, and nothing to fear.
