I can see a fairly ‘neutral’ person enriching their positivity. What I am interested to find is if a blatantly cynical and negative person can do the transformation as well?

The Seer:
It’s a valid question, but with a complex answer and I’ve been trying to simplify it. A further complication lies in our having two very different worldviews to frame this question and answer in. The primary focus of my work is metaphysical (what is real, what it not, etc.)

Preamble

The preamble to my answer: The pillars of my “worldview”~

1. After many decades of examining the “real”; that lies behind the appearances; that which has had no beginning and has no end; the laws which govern the cosmos, I have concluded that whenever something has an opposite, it is based on illusion. In other words, assuming that there’s no such thing as good, then there’s also no such thing as bad.
2. Anything that exists, contributes to the evolution and growth of life or it would not exist at all. In the case of opposites, therefore, both of the opposite poles must contribute to life unfolding to be existing at all.
3. Whether it is an illusion that anything can be separated into two opposite poles, or not. The imaginary separation of some aspect into two poles, provides us with the opportunity of studying and understanding the components (and their contribution) that form the whole.

Example:
We may come to the conclusion that “good” is growth promoting (life-enhancing) whereas “bad” is growth-detracting (non-life-enhancing). By being able to study them, as though they are separate, we may conclude that too much growth reduces strength, whereas too much opposition reduces growth, but in balanced proportions they promote each other (the newly hatching chicken gets its strength from struggling against the confines of its eggshell for instance.)

Conclusion

This is a perfectly governed universe. If we can accept that the universe is equitable and has no value judgements about the worth of the imagined components of the whole, that all have equal value because all contribute to the refining evolution of life-unfolding, then the role of all beings could be said to be neutral.

Some Considerations

• We strengthen what we oppose. If we deny any part of life the right to exist, it becomes more virulent and strong.
• We are responsible for creating the quality of our life’s journey. If we cooperate with life-unfolding, we create a life of graceful change. If we resist what life brings us, we invite a life of forced change through pain, it is our choice.
• Most think that it would be a preposterous statement to deny that such a thing as “bad” exists. The heinous deeds of man’s offenses against his neighbor would surely negate such a claim.
• That that which is “bad” exists, cannot be denied. But the judgement that the ultimate goal should be to eliminate all “bad” and replace it with “good” is based on the flawed and limited perspective we have from our myopic vantage point. When even the most shocking tragedies are viewed from an eternal perspective, their contribution to the evolution of life becomes clear; gratitude replaces judgement and the lines between good and bad start to blur.
