When you translated the tablets of the Atlantean Angelgods, they said that the first distortion that caused humanity to become dense, was lack of gratitude. You then commented that it was the original cause of subsequent distortions. How did lack of gratitude causes these other flaws?
The Seer:
The first ‘domino’ to fall over from lack of gratitude, is the birth of greed. To see the connection, we need to see the true meaning of what greed is. It’s so much more than just lusting after money or other resources.
Greed is an attitude of self-promotion that assesses all it encounters for the benefit it can bring to the individual. It is based on an exclusive, isolationist perspective. It asks what is the most I can get instead of what’s the most I can give. It seeks to heal inner lack through reaching for externally supplied solutions.
Greed therefore can apply to many areas of life, such as: how we love, how we search for comfort, how we choose the choicest food on the table; the softest pillow in the house, how much energy it requires to fulfill our personal needs and sustain our personal comfort, how much service we require from others around us.
Gratitude is the grateful acknowledgement of every little gift we receive from our unfolding journey through eternity. It focuses on what we have, rather than what we think we “need”.
The connection between gratitude and the advent of greed is as follows:
For one who chooses not to see the fullness of life in grateful acknowledgement, enough is never enough (= greed). Greed is a type of neuroses, in that it seeks to fill a bottomless pit. Unless the gratitude for the blessings of life become acknowledged, the incessant reaching for more, can never be assuaged.

This is so fascinating. There is a being in my life who regularly makes the statement “what’s in this for me?” and it upsets me so very much. My internal response is always, “are you truly so blind that you cannot see?”. I could sense the incredible distortion present there, but this elaboration further elucidates that it is in fact the original root cause of very many more distortions underneath, which is why it’s so disturbing to witness.
