According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, groceries have grown significantly more expensive in the past 12 months, with meat products leading the way.
The percentages they are giving as an accurate statistic of price increase, do not seem accurate to consumers struggling with many prices doubling in just a few months. I am often asked whether all the prepping is excessive and whether life will return to "normal". My answer is as follows:
Before the societal disintegration we are experiencing, it cannot be honestly said that life was "normal". Man has created a society that in its greedy complexity was consuming its own habitat and destroying the planet's species. How can that be called "normal" by any means? In its arrogance and greed, humanity has brought great imbalance to life on Earth.
The New Normal
The planet is trying to heal itself. The only question is whether you choose to learn to live a self-sufficient wholesome life, and be a wayshower of a new 'normal', or not. How can such an adventure be misnamed as "fear-based" or "lacking in faith"? Faith has never meant not taking self-responsibility for your life. Break dependencies on the artificial, and the shallow entertainment of man. Reconnect with the glory of nature and enhance your vitality by learning new skills.
The Infinite gives the bird the worm, but does not throw it into the nest.
At the very least, rotating your food storage, and feeding your family whole and nutritious foods bought before the price hikes, is one reward for becoming a "prepper". To be a prepper used to be the domain of conspiracy theorists and antisocial misfits. It has become a mainstream societal phenomenon.
