- Domestic semiconductor capacity
- Military AI systems
- Secure national cloud storage
They’re essentially digital powerplants for AI.

The motives behind them:
- Information is power; the more the better; the country with the most wins
- We can control and exploit the citizenry through tracking them
- We can kill without leaving a trace (individuals and demographic groups)
As for damage to the Earth:
These AI data centers make holes in the atmosphere.
