The Seer:
To make a long story short, masters have always found the Sothic triangle to represent two significant aspects of the journey to enlightenment:
- The association of the Sothic triangle to the Merkaba of a godbeing (as previously explained).
- It's a schematic depicting the nine evolutionary stages of man into Godhood: these nine stages are comprised of the beginner's three stages into self-mastery (novice, adept and master; master refers to being a master of the self.)*
- Then the three stages of immortality:
- Conquering distorted emotions through perception.
- Conquering judgment through becoming a dispassionate observer of life unfolding.
- Participating in life unfolding without becoming disenfranchised and losing hope. (The immortal master has to be able to remain in his or her holy reality at all times.)
The last three stages of evolution depicted by the triangle, are the three evolutionary stages of godhood. Those complete the nine (the number representing completion in many cultures) steps into Godhood.
The three stages of Godhood (they consist primarily of living the following insights):
- Knowing that one individual can profoundly effect the way life unfolds for the many, because of the interconnectedness of life
- Knowing that the environment is a reflection of yourself, that you are able to know yourself by studying the environment.
- The greatest insight to live by, is the ninth step: an individual is not merely a body that generates thoughts and feelings, but a consciousness as vast as the cosmos experiencing a physical form. The great insight to know is that the vastness did not manifest the physical form, but vice versa. The form is on a moment-by-moment basis determining the nature of its own vastness.

Love the Sothic Triangle!
If you have the Book of Spells, check out The Magic of the Lords of Light (page 157)…there you will find the Sothic triangle (page 169) depicted as the Beak of the Dove with 9 levels of
initiation. There are 9 incantations from the Lords of the Beak of the Dove. I can't help feeling these connections when we speak of the Sothic Triangle.
