The Second Insight Received During the Night
The second insight came in the form of a dream that warned me not to assume that acquaintances were still the same people I knew them to be from before. Various contributing factors have combined to create personality changes in others. I could also see how the powersigil that we received, to reveal the intrinsic value of others, has exposed the more base aspects that had been hidden behind the facade of decency and sophistication.✶
The dream revealed that it is advisable to practice sparing interaction and to approach even those who are familiar to us, with the humble perspective of not thinking we know them, but exploring them anew.

Thank you, Rogier, regarding the sigil. There was a question about why humans can be easier to deal with than Original Ones. The answer was that humans are better at hiding their flaws. I thought the sigil was related to that.

Thank you Almine. Years ago when I received my personal song from Almine, it had the effect of seeing beneath surface appearances.
A rather isolating ability. But saves a lot of energy, and the polarising emotion of feeling 'deceived'…
This post puts the emphasis on seeing others anew. The only, at least potentially, fun way to relate to people!
I noticed that our cats do this. When a family dog, an impressively big bouvier, returned for a visit after 2 years, they watched from a branch, while he pretended not to notice. Then one slowly approached to touch noses. After that they took walks again together along the hikers trail. But haven't resume their former cheeky techniques for teasing him.
I wonder if part of the secret of seeing another anew is in the contrast between recall and memory, which Almine mentioned some time ago? Remembering keeps friends and acquaintances in the past.
