Re: the need to parent. I recently read that women can become adicted to the ‘bonding hormone’ (I forget its name) and seek to keep their last child at home as much as possible. My niece did this and a sister-in-law. Very odd I thought at the time.
But yes, I’ve seen others, men also, who ‘parent’ their dog after their children have escaped!
And many young men who live ‘at home’ until they find a girl to move in with. Whereas their sisters moved out at 17-18 so they could do their own thing instead of their brothers’ laundry!
I feel another remarkably powerful ceremony brewing. 🙂
