My beloved teacher, I have a question for you: I am in discussion with one of the teachers here who says that the chakras open up vertically from the root to the crown of the head. My understanding is that they open clockwise facing out the front of the body. Which is correct?
The Seer:
First, the order in which the chakras open:
- Third Chakra (solar plexus)
- Second (just below the navel)
- Root (perineum)
- Fourth (heart)
- Crown
- Third Eye
- Throat
Secondly, they open clockwise to the front and the back by expressing their functions or by the deliberate efforts of a healer; creating a conical shape to the front and the back. But that still leaves a plug of unresolved issues pertaining to each chakra in the middle (where the front and back conical vortexes meet), impeding the vertical opening that allows prana to easily flow through the root to the crown (see the illustration of this in Journey to the heart of God).
Self-work is needed to release the plug of debris and allow a vertical opening of the chakras that eventually enables the formation of a Unified Chakra Field. The intense feelings the removal of a chakra plug releases is unmistakable. Hope this clarifies. Seems you were both correct.
