Promises contain within them a lie. When life and all beings are renewed in each eternal moment, it is untrue to promise an outcome or even our intent to create an outcome. Life plays upon the strings of our lives like a master violinist's impromptu creation. It is arrogance to suppose we can determine the melody. To be bound by the untruth of a promise, is to cater to the unreal.

This is very true. A promise is but a momentary certainty, a false principle that has no basis in a fluid, ever changing reality; Elders should never promise anything to the Young because it is taken literally. And if that promise is broken, especially time and again, the child's faith in the adult begins to waver and cracks begin to form.

Oh yes, I remember this one… Thank you.
