On a car ride home, just across the main street we turn on to go home, I was taken to place that I had been to a few times before. But this time it had changed, this place wasn't there before, it had just been born. My husband wanted to show me what he recently discovered on his last walk, he thought it was new people that had just moved there. It was quite beautiful, a black fence, inside the fence, a multitude of trees that created a cave-like canopy of "green" light illuminated by the sun through the trees. The feeling of the shade under the trees was magical and green…under the tree canopy was a beautiful gathered group of horses. Not one horse was the same, there were at least 10 horses, each so different and unique…a pinto, a buckskin, a dappled grey, a black, a brown, a white…and it was so intensely beautiful I almost couldn't bare it, I could feel my heart's fullness wanted to explode, but not sure what it wanted to explode. I wanted to stay there forever captured by the feeling of the coolness of the green light and the shade that was "alive" by the play of light and dark from the sun, the horses peacefully gathered under the shaded green canopy of beautiful trees. The beauty was so very intense. Almine's quote above is deeply true to me, I feel it, it says to me the Earth gives us beauty beyond what we can understand or fathom, or imagine, our heart's fill beyond our capacity. I live in the South/East, the perspective of physicality and as the body as a holy field, it is something I am becoming more attuned to through my own body and the Earth's magical unfathomable expression of beauty. It is for sure the pristine and magical reality of the gods. With it comes deep reverence and communion with the Earth. I hope to meet her in her glory and to do the same with my body. Thank you for this post, it touches on the magic of the purity I experienced with the beautiful horses under the luminous green light canopy. The heart is stretched almost beyond it's capacity, it almost feels inadequate to feel such intense Earth beauty. I would like to ask Almine why is that.
