This is what the Russians did when their country was collapsing with the change of the political systems in the 1980's. All the billionaires bought property in the countryside. Build homes with stone walls, equipped with fire places and cooking areas with fire pits. They trained their children to live more simply, off the land and farms. This is what humanity should be aiming for. CBC in Canada reported on this with live video output in their news documentaries. These programs are a Canadian tradition and are still running now.
