The Seer:
The Angel keeps telling me to breathe. And I’ve been wondering what he’s trying to say. Then I realized the following: Modern man has forgotten how to breathe.
Chronically breathing through your mouth can change the shape of your face. Children who primarily mouth breathe can develop a condition called adenoid face. Their faces develop with less musculature and bone density and become longer and skinnier, allowing less room for air passage through the nostrils.
Our hunter-gatherer ancestors typically had wider, and more powerful facial features than we do today. Anthropologists believe this is the case because children chewed on wild game and other tough foods back then, rather than slurping down soft foods like they do today. This constant jaw exercise widened the mouth, which allowed enough room for wisdom teeth to come through. Skeletal remains show that hunter-gatherers typically had perfectly straight teeth. Anthropologists believe that a wider face allowed hunter-gatherers to breathe through their noses more efficiently, and, like most exercises, the more they breathed through their noses, the stronger their nasal passageways became.

Hi Almine, I have a question. As a classical singer and teacher I teach breathing technique of inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.. singers obviously have to have their mouths open for singing words. Wim Hoff also uses this technique though his in breaths and more rigorous and in your yoga protocols this kind of Breathing is also used. Can you please confirm if the exhalation should be through the mouth please. With much gratitude and love. Joanne 🌸
This is so amazing. Thank you Beloved Almine and Rogier for this message. I heard the same messsge yesterday while at work and feeling overwhemled with the workload. A whisper said Breathe…I sat for a few minutes and did deep inhalations/exhalations while affirming I am the in breath and out breath of source. It really sifted my perspective. Love magical synchronicities.
Thank you so much, this is very interesting to explore some more.
Okay then. Thank you for this vital information.
This is truly fascinating. I’ve recently worked on some of this myself without being aware of what you just wrote Almine.
Thank you so much, once again💗
Thankyou for this,…I sung at a venue last year spontaneously possibly 4 songs at a sing song.
A man came to have his hair done recalling the evening a
I sung and he spoke to Me about nose breathing ! Sync!
I always was told in through the nose out through the mouth .
I feel it will take some conscious training to integrate this new way of breathing to which I am greatful.
I do notice when I sit if nose breathing it is very shallow. I can’t wait to get the book !
This is such relevant information for me right now as I currently have a family member recovering from nasal surgery. I am feeling grateful for the years as a young kid that I was required to do exercises to keep my tongue on the roof of my mouth (and thus keep my mouth closed while breathing). A great reminder for me. Thank you Almine, the Angel, and Rogier.
