A paradox is by definition a way of describing something that defies cognition by existing beyond the scope of reason and the confines of mind. A paradox can only be grasped in a non-cognitive way; it has to be felt by using the heartmind. A labyrinth not only represents an unknowable part of existence, but it communicates the respective paradox it represents to the heartmind of man. Unlike the written or spoken word, a labyrinth communicates in a non-cognitive way with the effortless knowing of the heartmind.
Throughout history man has created labyrinths on his sacred sites, instinctively knowing that walking a labyrinth enables effortless knowing; without comprehending that the various configurations of labyrinths directly access and communicate respective parts of the unknowable secrets of life.
For the first time along this holy journey of the gods, we are delving deeply into the unexplainable and unknowable secrets of existence. They cannot be taught nor explained, but by using the power of the labyrinths, they can be known with the non-cognitive mind of the heart.
