How does one know when one is ready to be a teacher ?

This is so true. Having no desire or interest in proving, persuading, teaching.. It reminds me of the idea I think it was Joanna Rowling who said in one of the Harry Potter books, something about being empowered when you don’t seek it. … I found it. She said “ It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well”. Xx Joanne 🌸🎶
I remember in one of Almine’s book she describes how the Infinite (my paraphrasing) asked her to teach the moment she didn’t feel compelled to be a teacher at all.
It’s definitely a guiding point I’ve used.
