Karma is a very misunderstood concept: many think of it as a type of punishment for “bad” deeds. But actions are like boomerangs. All actions, “good” and “bad”, come back for the one who acts, to experience — sometimes years later, sometimes immediately.
I have over the years of teaching, stressed that the only thing in our lives we have control over is the quality of the journey. Whether we choose to live a helpful or a hurtful life, may not matter to the way cosmic life unfolds — I’ve often repeated that our choices are factored into the grand scheme of unfolding life — but it would definitely matter to the quality of your journey, because every action comes back to effect you.
